Everyone loves a little bit of mod in their lives. From fashion icon Edie Sedgwick to Twiggy.
Young lovers Sailor and Lula are on the run for their lives. “Unaware of all of the events happening back in North Carolina, the two are on their way until — according to Lula — they witness a bad omen: the aftermath of a two-car accident, and the only survivor, a young woman (Sherilyn Fenn), dies in front of them. With little money left, Sailor heads for Big Tuna, Texas, where he contacts “old friend” Perdita Durango (Isabella Rossellini), who might be able to help them, although she secretly knows he is under contract to be killed by Lula’s mother. Inevitably, while Sailor agrees to join up with Bobby Peru (Willem Dafoe) in a feed store robbery, Lula waits for him in the hotel room, being sick and pining for better times. While Sailor is out Bobby enters the room and tries to rape Lula, but at the last second laughs it off and walks out.”~Wikipedia. We love this action film and find great inspiration on how to wear your 80′s inpsired wear. We are especially love Lula’s 80′s outfits with body con dresses, polka dots, hot pink, and lace leggings.

Did anyone else grow up watching this 90′s drama and found themselves wishing they were Claire Danes and wishing they were dating Jared Leto? How to dress like a 90′s angsty teen can be rather fashionable. We found pieces in our store that we thought resembled this show perfectly; floral dresses, combat boots, tights, maxi length dresses, mini skirts, flannels, oversized cardigans & sweaters! We put together a few pieces we thought reminded us of Calrie Danes character, Angela Chase. Check out a few looks we thought were inspired by this teen drama.
We absolustely adore Blogger Coury Combs from “Fancy Treehouse Blog” Her style can be described as girly and lighthearted with a vintage twist. Coury’s blog is filled with fun outfits for her readers to be inspired by. Check out a few looks we thought were very spring and very Urban 1972.
Our style crush of the week is Pattie Boyd. She is a true style icon from the 60′s & 70′s, has dated two of the biggest rockstars of the sixties and seventies and had the best hair…ever?! Pattie Boyd began her modelling career in 1962 and struck some iconic poses for Mary Quant and was photographed by legendary David Bailey before getting behind the camera herself. Pattie Boyd is our style crush of the week.
